Legit

FX tasked us with creating some fun promos for Australian comic Jim Jeffries’ new show, “Legit”.  They wanted to get across the bad-boy attitude of this fish-out-of water character without making him look like too much of an a$$hole.

If you’ve ever seen his stand-up routine, this is no mean feat:  He really is kind of an… er… an acquired taste.

Oh, also let’s keep it low budget, very short, and attention-getting.  No problem.

Our team kicked ass and we won the assignment.  One of my concepts places him in a family friendly, bucolic world and features some innocent wordplay as Jim watches the world go by and contemplates exactly what it would take to put him in just the right mood for, um, love.
