Netflix and Marvel wanted to launch a series about a superhero with a dark past that not many people had heard of or knew much about. She doesn’t wear a cape or a costume and her super powers are being really strong and having the ability to jump really far. And they wanted the audience to make the connection that Jessica Jones lives in Hell’s Kitchen and is part of Daredevil’s universe… but without mentioning Daredevil.
Hmm… so we wrote up a bunch of special shoot concepts that featured Jessica Jones being Jessica Jones.
Netflix pitched the idea of creating four separate pieces that could also work as a whole if played in sequence, so we put together something that plays as a day in the life of Jessica Jones.
